I’ve been blogging since 2003 and I’ve created dozens of blogs in a variety of niches (think weight loss, skin care etc.) over the years, some took off and made a decent income, some not so much.

I started Her Dream Business in 2021 to share what I’ve learned from nearly 30 years of building home businesses. I’m not a coach or a guru, just a woman exploring what’s possible when we create from peace instead of pressure, and finding gentle ways to build something beautiful at our own pace.

Since the late 90s, I’ve started more home businesses than I can count – from a little typing service on my first computer, to selling plus-size clothes on eBay, to managing a domestic cleaning business, and even writing Kindle books. Some were profitable, some were not, but each one taught me something about resilience, creativity, and the freedom that comes from working for yourself. I’ve learned that every attempt moves you closer to what truly fits your life and values.

Home is where I create, rest, and dream up new ideas. I’ve always believed our work should complement our lives, not consume them. These days, I focus on projects that align with my energy and bring more joy than stress. You’ll often find me with a cup of tea, notebook in hand, planning my next gentle step forward — and reminding myself (and you) that peace is the new form of success.
